I was inspired by traditional talavera pottery art when I was creating the graphics for this musical performance. The floral shapes with distinct bright colors helped to bring together the mariachi music, dancers and the lead singer together.
I hand drew the designs under the inspiration of talavera refernces, I then scanned the drawings and traced them in Illustrator. Once vector art, I animated each layer in After Effects, timing them with a tempo that followed this epic song.
